Cory Kosel is a Texas singer-songwriter whose music aims for a spot somewhere between James McMurtry and Britt Daniel, mixing traditional country sounds with a DIY rock aesthetic. Born and raised in Temple, an hour up I-35 from Austin, he’s now based in the DFW metro. His debut LP Dispatch from the Edge of Town was recorded at the famed Niles City Sound in Fort Worth, a studio whose credits include Robert Ellis, Leon Bridges, and Paul Cauthen.
